Just a line to say I'm living
that im not among the dead.
Though I'm getting more forgetful,
and mixed up in my head.

I've got used to my arthritis,
And my dentures I'm resigned.
I can manage my bifocals
But oh god! i miss my mind

At times i cant remeber
When i,m standing by the stair.
If im going up for somrthing
or have i just come down from there.

And besides the fridge so often
my mind is filled with doubt
Now did I put some food away?
or did I get some out.

sometimes when its night time
with my night cap on my head
Im not sure if im retiring
or just getting out of bed.
its my turn to write dear
I hope you wont get sore
I may think i have written
and dont want to be a bore

So remeber I do miss you
and wished that you live hear
but its time to post this letter
and say good bye my dear

Well I stood beside the post box
and my face is really red

Iv opened it instead.
