Natural Ways to Relieve Arthritis Pain Or Even Cure Your Arthritis
Arthritis could really be a burden especially for those with full-time jobs. Because of arthritis, they would have to endure back and leg pains all day long. It would be really difficult for them to deal with it without taking drugs that could relieve the pain. Arthritis is caused by a lot of factors. It could be due to overstressing the joints and could also be caused by the unavoidable circumstances of aging.
The development can not be avoided but it could be prevented from worsening. If taken care of immediately, arthritis could be stopped from spreading to other parts of the body and the pain could be eliminated entirely.
If you are on the verge of developing the disease yourself, you need not worry about taking drugs prescribed by your doctor that could have harmful effects on your body. There are natural arthritis pain relief methods that could help you. Drugs could eliminate the pain but taking drugs for long term would only make your body dependent on it and could cause damage to other areas of your body.
The best way to save yourself from the pain caused by arthritis of all types is to take natural dietary supplements specifically designed to get rid of pains in the joints and other body parts.
One sample of a natural arthritis pain relief is Cortaflex. This dietary supplement contains only natural ingredients that are guaranteed to be safe for your body. Unlike most drugs prescribed to heal arthritis, this natural dietary supplement would not have any side effects. It would only help in promoting good joint health that could last for a lifetime. Just make sure to take this regularly as a dietary supplement and you would never feel pain caused by arthritis.
Arthritis has many types but only three types are considered to be common. These are gout, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Out of the three, the most prevalent and seemingly unavoidable is osteoarthritis. It often attacks the cartilage, making it weak and causing the bones to rub against each other. The friction created because of the rubbing causes pain in the joints. By taking Cortaflex, the cartilage would always be healthy and you would not feel any pain at all.
There are other cures to arthritis and ways to prevent it from developing. The best way to save yourself from any disease is still to find out everything you can about it. By learning about a disease, you will know what to do in case you experience its early signs.

aleve used to work for her, but not anymore...
i have also heard that long term use of glucosamine can cause diabetes... is that true?
How Is Arthritis Pain Treated?
There is no single treatment that applies to everyone with arthritis, but rather the doctor will develop a management plan designed to minimize your specific pain and improve the function of your joints. A number of treatments can provide short-term pain relief.
Short-Term Relief
Medications--Because people with osteoarthritis have very little inflammation, pain relievers such as acetaminophen (Tylenol*) may be effective. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis generally have pain caused by inflammation and often benefit from aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil).
Heat and cold--The decision to use either heat or cold for arthritis pain depends on the type of arthritis and should be discussed with your doctor or physical therapist. Moist heat, such as a warm bath or shower, or dry heat, such as a heating pad, placed on the painful area of the joint for about 15 minutes may relieve the pain. An ice pack (or a bag of frozen vegetables) wrapped in a towel and placed on the sore area for about 15 minutes may help to reduce swelling and stop the pain. If you have poor circulation, do not use cold packs.
What does it do?
Glucosamine is an important building block needed by the body to manufacture specialized molecules called glycosaminoglycans, found in cartilage.
Where is it found?
Glucosamine is not present in significant amounts in most diets. Supplemental sources are derived from the shells of shrimp, lobster, and crab, or may be synthesized.
Why do athletes use it?*
Some athletes say that glucosamine
helps reduce joint pain.
What do the advocates say?*
For a long time, glucosamine dominated the market among supplements used to ease joint pain. Now, many practitioners prefer to use a combination of both glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. Many have found this combination to be effective, particularly for runners, who tend to develop problems with their knees. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are well absorbed by the molecules that make up cartilage. They are not available from food. It is not uncommon to have to take these supplements indefinitely to continue to experience relief.
Recent research has shown that the results of arthroscopic surgery for osteoarthritis in the knee is no different than that of placebo. This gives people further reason to at least give supplements, such as glucosamine sulfate, a try before enduring more invasive, expensive approaches.
How much is usually taken by athletes?
Glucosamine sulfate, 1,500 mg per day, is effective for reducing joint pain caused by osteoarthritis according to most studies,1 2 3 Whether other forms of glucosamine, such as glucosamine hydrochloride, are as effective for joint pain as glucosamine sulfate is unclear at this time, but studies have found some benefits from the use of the hydrochloride form.4 5 Other uses of glucosamine for sports and fitness, including prevention of joint pain or treatment of sports injuries, have not been studied.
Are there any side effects or interactions?
At the amount most frequently taken by adults—500 mg three times per day of GS—adverse effects have been limited to mild reversible gastrointestinal side effects. In one trial, people with peptic ulcers and those taking diuretic drugs were more likely to experience side effects.6
Animal research has raised the possibility that glucosamine could contribute to insulin resistance.7 8 This effect might theoretically result from the ability of glucosamine to interfere with an enzyme needed to regulate blood sugar levels.9 However, available evidence does not suggest that taking glucosamine supplements will trigger or aggravate insulin resistance or high blood sugar.10 Two large, 3-year controlled trials found that people taking GS had either slightly lower blood glucose levels or no change in blood sugar levels, compared with people taking placebo.11 12 Until more is known, people taking glucosamine supplements for long periods may wish to have their blood sugar levels checked; people with diabetes should consult with a doctor before taking glucosamine and should have blood sugar levels monitored if they are taking glucosamine.
In 1999 the first case of an allergic reaction to oral GS was reported.13 Allergic reactions to this supplement appear to be rare.
Some GS is processed with sodium chloride (table salt), which is restricted in some diets (particularly for people with high blood pressure).
The theory that GS and chondroitin sulfate work synergistically in the treatment of osteoarthritis remains unproven.
At the time of writing, there were no well-known drug interactions with glucosamine.

Mother with MS used Capzasin, now she is in horrible pain! PLEASE HELP!!?
My mother who has progressive multiple sclerosis also has a husband who is suffering from arthritis in his back. My mother, Jhennicea, bought a tube of Capazsin and rubbed it into his back. While she was rubbing it in, she felt no heat or anything, which confused her as she was sure it was supposed to warm up. However, in the middle of the night she was awoken by a painful burning in her hands, all the way up her arms and it has not gone away. She called the VA (She is a military veteran) and informed them of the problem, they looked up the product and informed her that this product was not meant to be used on anyone with neurological disorders. They say there is nothing that can be done and it will last 4-5 days...
My mother already suffers chronic pain, I know someone out there must know something we can do to at least lessen the pain from this for her.
Thank you!
it has cayenne pepper in it which can cause burning and looks like it has triggerdd her nerve pain...
the one thing that can help sometimes is soaking in something like milk just like when you eat chili.. its hot.. drink milk.. cools it down... i know that sounds silly but my friend with RA was givien capzasin cream and it burned her so much.. she tried to wash it off with water which increased the burning ..... because water and oil just intensifies the burn so its best to try using something like milk.
I dont know if this will help but it might be worth trying...

Colleen makes an excellent point. Not to generalize, but to provide an example, my ex teaches in a school district that is predominantly Latino. It is also extremely economically depressed (the two chicken plants are the largest employers). A lot of his female students openly express how their goal after graduation (and a lot before they graduate) is to be married and have children. It seems like a cultural belief and value. Motherhood is very important. It seems so important that the age at which you become a mother is really relative.
